Urban Renewal Schemes
Between 1986 and 1996 nearly 10,000 new houses and apartments were built in Dublin under the 1986 and 1994 urban renewal schemes. The significance of this can be seen in the fact that during the first 80 years of the twentieth century Dublin had seen almost no residential construction activity. (source)
